while the exact phase " Original Sin " is not found in Holy Scripture, the word " sin "
is... some 448 times in the KJV of the Bible.
the term " Original Sin " describes an attribute of all person's in that
the sin of Adam is passed on in man's physical and spiritual make up by reason of the
penalty of his transgressing the command of Christ not to eat of the Tree of Knowledge of
Good and Evil. a evil tree can not bear good fruit. Mt. 7:17-20
the exact penalty named by God to follow should he eat of the Tree was death.
with the exception's of Enoch, Elijah, Moses, and those alive in Christ at the moment of
the Rapture, these are specifically shown by God as not having physically died and not to
die but rather, were and will be translated into the glory of God in heaven, body and
soul.
physical death is one of the two penalties adjudicated by God against Adam. and since
everyone without exception comes from Adam, both physical death and spiritual death is
everyone's lot in this life because Adam also died spiritually the moment he ate of the
Tree forbidden to him.
therefore, every person who dies proves he has Original Sin, by dying.
from Adam's state of being changing from fellowship with the Creator as He walked with
Adam in the cool of the day, God became unapproachable after Adam's transgression.
Adam's bent toward's evil passing it on to his posterity is found immediately in the
opening chapter's of Genesis whereupon we find Cain killing Abel and finally God's
destruction of the world by the Flood because... " God saw that the wickedness of man was
great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only
evil continually. " Gen. 6:5.
therefore again, spiritual death has been passed on from Adam to his posterity since those
redeemed by the Lord Jesus Christ do not continue in sin after having been given life and
the faith of Jesus Christ whereas the unredeemed do.
upon these in the flesh " the wrath of God abides " ... continuous present tense, while He
say's of His elect ones, " There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in
Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. "
the unbeliever is quick to say he has no sin... which adjudicates him a liar as we read in
1 Jn. 1:8. the unbeliever proves by his physical death yet to come that he is a liar as
well as those who've already died and are buried returning to the dust from which we came
such as the Greek philosopher's who've concocted the idea that man is immortal, and passed
that idea on from Greece to Rome to Europe. furthermore, when the unbeliever says he has
no sin he is admitting that he is among those of whom God declares has a conscience that
is " seared with a hot iron " so that he is not convicted of sin by the Holy Spirit, who
is otherwise sent to convict only the elect of sin. Jn.16:8
from Original Sin, which is proven in man's physical death, his spiritual death is shown
also. the Apostle Paul writing by the dictates of the Holy Spirit who bring's this to
light says...
" And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according
to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the
spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.
Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of
the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. "
Eph. 2:1-3 ( NASB )
man then, is dead even while he lives. 1 Tim. 5:6; Eph. 2:1-3
when found of the Lord Jesus Christ in the saving sense of ' found, ' the elect are given
life first ( Jn. 3:3; Acts 13:48 ) in their soul existence which God raises from among the
dead in Adam with the promise to raise them up from the grave upon His return at the
Rapture of true believer's at the End of the Age. those who are not raised from the dead,
the unbeliever's, remain dead for the destruction of this world at the close of the age.
there are none and will never be any reprobates in heaven. their sin of Adam in both
their body and soul is the cause of their being left in the grave while the true
believer's are in Christ, raised in both soul and at His return, in body, from the wages
of sin, which is death. death, is the eternal punishment of the wicked and not an
eternity in a burning, tormenting, conscience existence in a place which the Catholic's so
desire every non-Catholic terminates.
