The Kingdom of a thousand years
"And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and
judgment was given unto them ..." Rev. 20:4. This
is the judgement seat of Christ, which takes the place
when Jesus comes.
Please, compare Matt. 19:28. "And Jesus said unto them,
Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me,
in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the
throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones,
judging the twelve tribes of Israel." And Luke 22:28-30.
"Ye are they which have continued with me in my
temptations. And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my
Father hath appointed unto me; That ye may eat and
drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones
judging the twelve tribes of Israel."
After God's judgement of wrath, yet, there will be people
on the earth. Jesus Christ and his saints shall reign over
them a thousand years. Accordingly, there are people on
the earth under these thousands years. During a thousand
years there are many generations, and the last part of this
time they number is "as the sand of the sea."
It will be a government, unique without a counterpart,
which has never before been on the earth. All members
of the Government have heavenly and immortal bodies.
The number of Government members can be counted
in many million. With such a Government on the earth
during a thousand years, many people may be saved.
They also must get resurrection after the thousands years,
and therefore, also the book of Life is opened at the last
judgement. Rev. 20:12.
People, who have a form of godliness but denying its
power, will not be alive after God's judgement of wrath.
2 Tim. 3:1-5. Jesus mentions nothing that the foolish
virgins are allowed to come in afterwards. Matt. 25:1-13.
Those who are not willing to obey the command of the
Lord in Rev. 18:4, they will be judged along with the
great harlot, and get the part of her plagues.
"Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection:
on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be
priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a
thousand years. And when the thousand years are expired,
Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to
deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the
earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle:
the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they
went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the
camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire
came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake
of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false
prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever
and ever." Rev. 20:6-10.
"For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made
alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits;
afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. Then cometh
the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to
God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule
and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath
put all enemies under his feet." 1 Cor. 15:22-25.
After the Kingdom of a thousand years, the last judgement
comes when all ungodly people rise from the death.
"And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it,
from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and
there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead,
small and great, stand before God; and the books were
opened: and another book was opened, which is the
book of life: and the dead were judged out of those
things which were written in the books, according to
their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were
in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which
were in them: and they were judged every man according
to their works. And death and hell were cast into the
lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever
was not found written in the book of life was cast into
the lake of fire." Rev. 20:11-15.
"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night;
in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great
noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the
earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned
up." 2 Peter 3:10.
This is a very short summary of what that will take
place at the end of this age. From Jesus' coming and to
the elements shall melt. It must go thousands years.
God's Kingdom is not only a Kingdom for thousands
years, but it is an eternal Kingdom. In the New Jerusalem
Jesus Christ and his Government will reign forever.
Rev. 22:5.
